Ashley Prejoles Art
I spend my day painting the thing I most need to see in the world that week. If I need a pop of humor and color, I paint an elephant covered in doughnut sprinkles. If I am needing a blast of calm serenity, I paint a watery, sunset landscape. And when I'm missing my summer camping trips with my best friend, I paint the misty, morning trees. My relationship with watercolor is a collaboration in this, a partnership. I can't really control the paint, so I play with it, I lay down the water and I let it work its magic. The act of painting is the joy…and when I'm finished, I have a record of the whole thing.
