Avery Bingham weaving
Little Rock, AR
Until I found weaving, I wasn’t sure that there was a single creative outlet that could really capture my attention!
On a whim, I made my first loom in 2017– now, I weave nearly every day on a rigid-heddle loom handmade of Belgian Ash. Nothing makes me happier than coming home and weaving away on my loom. Of course, this picture wouldn’t be complete without Patty, my long-haired dachshund, snoozing on a sheepskin rug by my side!
I love to work with natural fibers like wool and cotton, but I also like the uniformity and saturation of acrylic fibers. Really, I just work with whatever colors or textures strike my fancy. Right now, I am inspired by Scandinavian style, mid century modernism, millennial pink (it will never get old to me), MC Escher, and too many other things to name.
