Cross Plains Pottery

Cross Plains Pottery is named in honor of the long empty town where my husband and I settled in the Arkansas River Valley. It seemed fitting that an art form so old and long lasting could share a name with any time period it chose. I am the happy potter of Cross Plains Pottery, my name is Alexis Barber.

For me, clay holds the most creative potential of any material I have ever encountered. I love the freedom and accomplishment that I feel when throwing; I have become addicted to that feeling. I am enthralled by what my hands can create, and how that creation shadows my own. Pottery has ignited a spark in me, and I hope to spread the flame.

HISTORY

The Little Craft Show was founded in 2011 as a fun, “little” event for us to sell our handmade products with our closest friends. We had a small venue, a handful of crafty friends, and a few extra spaces to fill. The response was amazing. TLCS is now Arkansas’ most talked about indie craft show that's celebrated for our refreshing atmosphere, enthusiastic vendors, and high quality handmade goods. We were even ranked as one of the top EIGHT craft shows in the nation by Country Living Magazine.
