Shannon from Windblown Ideas will lead participants through the basics of paper flower making using 98 lb. pastel papers. We will shape the petals and create the centers using a paper quilling technique. Next is assembling and wiring the flowers, and finally we will put it all together to form a beautiful paper peony that each student will take home! Come make a mystical crystal or stone necklace with Keely Wake of Flora and Fauuna! Participants will learn the basics of the Tiffany Method, while creating a soft-soldered crystal or stone necklace. For this beginner level hand embroidery class, participants will receive one of four custom made embroidery kits which we will use to learn about tools and materials and how to do several different stitches. When the design is finished, it can be framed right in the hoop and hung as a lovely, handmade art piece. Join your local Whole Foods floral specialist, Danyelle Perry, as she walks us through proper succulent care, planting methods, and how to keep your new little plant babies alive for years to come! Participants will have the opportunity to choose their own succulents to plant in a 6-inch terra cotta pot. All plants, pots, soil, and rocks will be provided. Leana Fischer of May We Fly hosts watercolor workshops that are designed for total beginners, with a goal that anyone can learn watercolors with a bit of foundational training and practice. Each workshop covers fundamental watercolor techniques, and then focuses on a subject matter, such as botanicals, landscapes, birds, or veggies.
