soundscape studio

Hi, I'm Macy. I create data visualizations of music scores. I am a freelance graphic designer and have played piano for over 10 years. No, I don’t have synesthesia, but I am a very visual person and creating patterns makes my brain happy. The idea for soundscapes came to me while I was trying to come up with a Valentine's Day gift for my wife, Anna (good at graphic design, bad at music) to help her understand what it is about the piano that intrigues me so much— basically using my love language to speak to her in her love language. The project has evolved into a collection of over 65 songs and an obsession with experimental music notation.

HISTORY

The Little Craft Show was founded in 2011 as a fun, “little” event for us to sell our handmade products with our closest friends. We had a small venue, a handful of crafty friends, and a few extra spaces to fill. The response was amazing. TLCS is now Arkansas’ most talked about indie craft show that's celebrated for our refreshing atmosphere, enthusiastic vendors, and high quality handmade goods. We were even ranked as one of the top EIGHT craft shows in the nation by Country Living Magazine.
