Ceramics by Amy Sanders de Melo

After a long period of separation and division brought on by the pandemic, political division, and ongoing social injustice, I have been using ceramics to encourage collective healing. As an artist with disabilities, I want my work to be part of creating a home for all of us…not just some of us– a place where all can experience acceptance, dignity, and healing. My MANTRA series features functional pieces with Braille intended to inspire meditative moments and empathy both for others and for one’s self. The Braille serves as a reminder that marginalized individuals exist in our society and must always find a way to adapt and survive, often silently. While not all my work features Braille, my functional ceramic and jewelry work encourages creating space for all to feel welcome and empowered. All my work is made with domestic porcelain in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tulsa,Oklahoma Website Instagram Facebook

Janelle Redlaczyk

When I'm not working as a museum educator, you can find me in my shop creating jewelry! I took my first college metalsmithing class a decade after completing a bachelor of fine arts degree in painting and drawing, and was immediately fascinated and challenged by a new medium. I've been designing and creating since then in my home studio. I take great care with the fabrication and finishing of my work, so the jewelry you purchase for yourself, or as a gift, will be enjoyed for years to come. I live and work surrounded by the beauty of Northwest Arkansas. When designing jewelry I find inspiration in modern and contemporary art, organic shapes and the beauty of silver and brass as I hammer, saw, solder and polish it. Pyrogenic arts

My name is Randi Sparks (She/Her), aka Pyro, and I’m an Artist/Educator living and working in Northwest Arkansas. As an artist, I am interested in the ways in which pattern and repetition relate to psychology and the modern human experience. Clay and fiber are my preferred media because the smallest threads and particles come together to create cloth and vessels in the same way that each of us come together to create society. I am also drawn to skeletal anatomy for similar reasons; in order to understand the purpose and nature of the whole, we must examine and understand the parts that bind us together. As a human and member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am deeply invested in using my art and privilege to advocate for marginalized populations. I have committed to donating physical items and at least 20% of my sales each year to philanthropic organizations in Arkansas. Fayetteville,Ar Website Instagram Facebook

HISTORY

The Little Craft Show was founded in 2011 as a fun, “little” event for us to sell our handmade products with our closest friends. We had a small venue, a handful of crafty friends, and a few extra spaces to fill. The response was amazing. TLCS is now Arkansas’ most talked about indie craft show that's celebrated for our refreshing atmosphere, enthusiastic vendors, and high quality handmade goods. We were even ranked as one of the top EIGHT craft shows in the nation by Country Living Magazine.
